Abstract

|
Angiogenesis is a sequence of events that is fundamental to many physiologic and pathologic processes, such as cancer, ischemic diseases, aging, and chronic inflammation. Aging is time-dependent, deteriorative functional changes leading to a progressive loss of the organism ’s ability to withstand both internaj and external stresses. In the review, in order to understand the link and relationship between angiogenesis and aging, we highlight the current knowledge of 02-regulated angiogenesis and the recent findings in angiogenesis research and aging process studies.
